Ad 2 Tampa Bay Urges Local Businesses to Get Better Placement
4/6/2005
CLEARWATER, Fla. (April 6, 2005) — On April 27th, 2005, the members of Ad 2 Tampa Bay, the premier advertising and marketing club for young professionals, will be holding their annual live auction fundraiser. Ad 2 Tampa Bay members share an appetite for community service and networking as they build their advertising and marketing careers and establish roots in the bay area.
This year, the dynamic group will be hosting their 26th Annual Merchandise and Media Auction featuring both a silent and an extremely entertaining live auction, hosted by auctioneer Robert Hennessee. The event is free to attend, and attendees will receive free hors d'oeuvres and one complimentary drink.
The silent auction places a collection of incredible products and services, donated by local businesses, up for bid. For pennies on the dollar, live auction participants — typically small business owners — can purchase advertising placement and media services that will push their businesses ahead of the competition. Amazing deals on print, web, outdoor, and content creation will be so affordable that any business can get better placement.
Ad 2 uses its auction proceeds to educate students, provide a network of support for young professionals, and — most importantly — produce pro-bono advertising campaigns for Tampa Bay charities. This year’s public service client is The Center for Women’s ElderLink Consortium.
“The deals available at this auction are almost unheard of. I have seen both media and merchandise sell for literally pennies on the dollar for $20,000 billboard space, bench ads, and television and radio spots,” said Andrew Moos, owner of Metro Bench Advertising, who has attended 11 of the last 13 auctions. “The auction is especially invaluable for smaller businesses with limited advertising budgets who are looking for a bigger bang for their buck.”
And, all donations are tax deductible as a marketing and advertising expense.
On Wednesday April 27th, 2005, get to Tucson’s, located at 13563 Icot Blvd. in Clearwater, to get your business the media placement it deserves! The silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by the live media auction at 7:30 p.m.
